If you make changes to the data dictionary in Studio or update records in the security tables in another application, those changes aren't available in a running copy of Stonefield Query until you restart the web server or application pool Stonefield Query is running in because those tables are normally only read into memory when the application starts. This would obviously be inconvenient, so you have a couple of choices:

  • To force a reload of those collections programmatically, such as within another application, use the API route api/refresh, such as https://www.MyWebSite.com/api/refresh.

  • To do it manually in the browser, choose the Refresh Server Collections function in the Tools menu.
