Stonefield Query is data-driven; it only knows how to query against a particular database if it has information about the database's tables, fields, and relationships. This information is known as "meta data" and is also sometimes referred to as a data dictionary.

The Databases panel in Stonefield Query Studio allows you to define the databases Stonefield Query queries and reports on.

If Stonefield Query is already running in your browser and you make changes to the data dictionary in Studio, you can make those changes available in Stonefield Query immediately without restarting the web server by using the Refresh Server Collections function in the Stonefield Query Tools menu.
