Hi Denis,
I didn't think that Quotewerks allowed you to create custom fields for any of their tables. Is this possibly a new feature in a new version of Quotewerks? I do know that you can change the caption/column header name of a field to something else, and Stonefield Query should read and adjust accordingly. However, this shouldn't cause the report to stop working, even if the caption is incorrect.
The first think I would doublecheck is to make sure that the Quotewerks location under tools->options is correct. If it is, and you still are experiencing problems, please send in the following:
a screenshot of the error you are getting, or if possible, the error text itself (save the error report with the save button
an exported copy of the report that is no longer working (use file->export selected report to export)
Send these in to support@stonefieldquery.com so we can look in to the issue.
Regarding your second question, you can store half of a calculation using variables in the advanced report designer. Then, you can simply create a field object whose output expression is VARIABLE1 + VARIABLE2.
