Hi.

SFQ 3.1.  DetailsPlus 2.7.6.

I have three DetailsPlus tabs that I want to include in one report.  For example, one tab is Investments, one is Loans, the third is Family.  I'd like to be able to generate one SFQ report that lists all the Investment details , then the Loan details then the Family details.

I'm sure this is possible but I just can't get my head around it at the moment.

Thanks in advance.

Hi Shane,

In addition to showing up in their respective tabs, each of these items should be showing up in the catch-all 'details' tab in Goldmine as well. You can simply create a report on the Details table, and then filter on the "Detail" field for the respective types. An 'is one of' filter would be most appropriate here.

To have the report organized such that it shows all investments, then loans, etc..., simply sort on the Detail field.

It appears a previous response has "gone missing."

Thanks for that Trevor. It's not really what I wanted as the field names in DetailsPlus are important and could confuse the report reader if I don't display them accurately. Maybe sub-reports could help?(hint hint)

Anyway, I've come up with a solution by using GetCurrentGMField in several reports then running an external application from a GM Taskbar button. The user is happy with this.

Thanks for your help once again.

Cheers

Hi Shane,

"Subreports" can be implemented using multiple detail bands added with the advanced report designer, but it requires a fairly large amount of scripting (you are then responsible 100% for retrieving the records from the database).

In our next product release, we are going to be adding support for multiple detail bands via a easier to use wizard interface.
