09/26/2007 4:10 PM Alert

I'm using demo version 3.04.2510

I'm including my settings

User name = ADMIN
Stonefield Query folder = C:\Program Files\Stonefield Query for ACT! 2005-2006\
Stonefield Query data folder = C:\Program Files\Stonefield Query for ACT! 2005-2006\
Temporary files folder = C:\DOCUME~1\HUTCHINT\LOCALS~1\TEMP
Current database = SLACTDB.PAD
Local Time Zone = Pacific Daylight Time (GMT -07:00)
Database Actual Size = 33.25 MB
Database Path (SQL) = C:\ACT-DB\SLActDB.ADF
Database Engine = SQL SERVER 2005 Express Edition SP1
Database Machine = SLACT\ACT7
Database Schema Version = 9.1.152.0
Web Site: = www.stonefieldquery.com
Email: = support@stonefieldquery.com
Demo expiry date = 10/17/2007 (21 days)
Version 3.04.2510

When I go to schedule a report, everything appears to work correctly.  However when the time comes for the report to run, I see a program down in my applications bar "Stonefield Query for ACT! 2005-2006" it doesn't go away, and if I click it nothing comes up.  The only way to remove this is to right click and then click close.  When I do that a dialog comes up "No ACT! database was chosen. Query cannont connect."

When I reveiw the last result colum in the Scheduled Tasks, I see 0x0.

Here is what is in the "Run" field under the scheduled task.

"c:\program files\stonefield query for act! 2005-2006\sfquery.exe" user=ADMIN password=ADMIN "database=Choose File..." "report=Jaymes Activites Report Yestarday" exit "filename=C:\Documents and Settings\hutchint\Desktop\DelMe\Jaymes Activites Report Yestarday.xls" noshow type=full usestoredactid

I've tried to change the "database=Choose File..."  to the .pad file location, but I've ran into mixed results here.  Could someone tell me where I can find the information on the sfquery.exe command so I can put in the correct setting to run the scheduled task?

Hi Todd,

The scheduler wizard uses the currently open database as the database to use for the scheduled task. Stonefield Query gets this from a list of opened databases that it tracks internally. If you connected to a database with the "Choose File" option, then it tries to enter that as the database.

In this case, you would need to open a database with the "Choose File" option, but then choose to save your username and password when you log  in to that database. Once you do this, Stonefield Query makes this database available as an option the next time you login.

Once done, you can shut down, and then start up again, but this time, choose the database from the drop down list.

You can find more information on the command line options in the Help file Article:

If i go into the file menu, then open database I have two options for the same database name.  One has the password saved the other I have to select the pad file.  If I select the one with that has the password saved, it works great.

Thank you

Todd
