Subject: Case Sensitivity in Expressions

10/11/2007 8:17 AM Alert

I have a report using QW and it is filtered at the design stage.

There are fields in the report that are also formulated using expressions and I have just discovered that the espressions have failed because the value being compared is being treated as case sensitive. This means that if the expression excludes *Kit* and there is a value that would match *kit*, the value will not be excluded.

Is there a way around this as with a limit of 255 characters on the expression designer and naturally too many permutations to accurately allow for, it is not possible to define the criteria correctly.

Thanks

Denis

Hello Denis,

I would like to see this report in more detail. Please export it to an SFX file (through the File-> Export Report menu) and email it to support@stonefieldquery.com.
