How to report on Sage Accpac ERP Uni Sales Analysis Data
Stonefield Query for Sage Accpac ERP now supports reporting on the Uni Sales Analysis (UniSA) module. Support for UniSA has been added into Version 3.20.3337 & higher (within Stonefield Query select the menu item Help->About Stonefield Query for Sage Accpac ERP to see the version that you have installed, to get the latest version of Stonefield Query for Sage Accpac ERP please contact Stonefield Software).
Uni Sales Analysis stores its data in a different database than Sage Accpac. If you are using Microsoft SQL as your database then Uni Sales Analysis will be in a new database named the same as your main Sage Accpac database but with “UNI” added to the end (for example if your Accpac company database is “SAMLTD” then Uni Sales Analysis will create a new database called “SAMLTDUNI”). If you are using Pervasive as your Sage Accpac database application, Uni Sales Analysis will create a Uni subdirectory of the Accpac company data folder.
Uni Sales Analysis doesn’t create an ODBC DSN automatically so you will have to create one yourself. Stonefield Query for Sage Accpac ERP expects that there is an ODBC DSN with the same name as the main Sage Accpac company DSN but with a “UNI” suffix. For example, if you have an Accpac DSN named “Sample Company”, you need to have another DSN named “Sample CompanyUNI” that points to the Uni database.
Stonefield Query for Sage Accpac will detect if Uni Sales Analysis has been installed and activated for a Sage Accpac company database. When it does it will either provide the user with the option to report on the Uni Sales Analysis module if the “UNI” suffix ODBC DSN has been configured. If the “UNI” suffix DSN has not been configured Stonefield Query will detect that UniSA is installed and provide the following message to the user:
For details on how to set up ODBC DSN connections please refer to the Stonefield Query Online Help or press F1 within Stonefield Query and select the help topic How To > Managing Databases.
When you have this UniSA DSN set up you can then use Stonefield Query to report on both your Sage Accpac main database and your Uni Sales Analysis database at the same time. If you have any questions on the above or require assistance please contact your Sage Accpac Solution Provider or Stonefield Software Technical Support.
