Activating Stonefield Query |
When you run Stonefield Query, if your copy isn't activated, you're informed of that and asked if you want to register your copy. If you click No, Stonefield Query runs in unactivated mode for up to 30 days after you run it for the first time. If you choose Yes, the Stonefield Query Registration dialog appears, allowing you to activate Stonefield Query. You can simply click the Cancel button to continue if you don't wish to activate it at this time. Please note that you must activate Stonefield Query within 30 days or it will stop working.
To activate your copy of Stonefield Query, click the Next button to go to Step 2 of the dialog, fill in the information in Step 2, then click the Next button to go to Step 3 (this button is disabled if you have left any of the required information blank). Step 3 shows you a registration number, and has spaces where you can fill in a serial number and activation code. If you already have a serial number, enter it.
There are several ways you can activate Stonefield Query:
- If you have a serial number and an Internet connection, you can click the Online button to obtain your activation code immediately. The activation code is automatically filled in; you can then click the Finish button to complete the activation. If something goes wrong (for example, if the Web server is down), you get a warning message and have to try again later.
- Email Technical Support to obtain an activation code. Enter the activation code and click the Finish button. If you want to use Stonefield Query without waiting for an activation code, click the Finish button without entering the code.
- Click the Print button to print an Activation Request Form and fax or mail the form to Technical Support (the address and fax number are on the form). You are provided an activation code by phone or fax. Enter the activation code and click the Finish button. If you want to use Stonefield Query without waiting for an activation code, click the Finish button without entering the code.
