To remove a template, select the template in the templates list and click the Delete button. You are asked to confirm that you want the template removed; if you choose Yes, the template is removed from the list. If you try to run any report that uses that template, you will receive a "The template for this report was not found" warning message, and have to edit the report and select a different template.
